Note:
Import shipments may be released from the customs warehouse from Monday to Friday after 16:00, provided that the user or their authorized representative completes the customs clearance procedure (JCI) in accordance with the Customs Procedure Law and obtains certified cargo release approval from the Sales, International Freight Forwarding and Documentation Department by 16:00.
In exceptional cases (temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals, diplomatic shipments, or cargo of special importance), shipments may be released during weekends without time restrictions, subject to compliance with documentation requirements or a customs release order under customs supervision, with subsequent customs clearance and confirmation by customs officer signature and airport customs stamp on accompanying documents.
The Cargo Center customs warehouse covers more than 800 m², including import and export areas, equipped with a 24/7 CCTV surveillance and control system.

The Cargo Operations Department handles all permitted types of shipments that are properly packed and accompanied by appropriate customs documentation.
For special shipments (dangerous goods, ammunition, weapons), prior notification and submission of complete documentation to the Cargo Operations Department, Customs Office, and Border Police Unit at Sarajevo International Airport is required at least 24 hours in advance, for approval and aircraft space reservation.
Human remains (HUM) shipments must be accompanied by a “Laissez-Passer”, issued by the embassy or consular office of the country of origin, upon request of the Border Police Unit.
