A new instrumental departure procedure, RNAV SID RWY 11, has been successfully established at Sarajevo International Airport, marking a major step forward in enhancing the airport's operational and navigational capacities.
This complex and long-term project was led by BHANSA, with the active participation of the professional team from Sarajevo International Airport throughout all phases of implementation.
The introduction of the RNAV (Area Navigation) SID procedure enables more precise and efficient management of departing flights, as well as increased safety and flow of air traffic. These modern navigational solutions comply with international standards and represent an important step in the further modernization of Bosnia and Herzegovina's airspace.
What makes this implementation especially significant is the fact that this is the first procedure of its kind introduced at Sarajevo Airport since its founding.
