This year, Sarajevo International Airport is a proud sponsor of the 14th Sarajevo Business Forum Premium, one of the region’s most important investment and business events, bringing together leaders from the fields of economy, politics, and business from around the world.
As part of the third panel titled “Strategic Tourism Business Practices and Their Economic Impact,” held on May 21 at the Swissotel conference hall, the Director of the Services Sector at Sarajevo International Airport, Ms. Vedrana Vikić Musić, participated as a panelist.
Alongside Ms. Nasiha Pozder, Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Cordula Wohlmuthner, Regional Director for Europe at UN Tourism, Mr. Tamir Mostarac from the EBRD, and Mr. Jusuf Jamakosmanović as panel moderator, Director Vikić Musić spoke about the importance of the aviation industry and the role of airports in the development of tourism and the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Sarajevo International Airport is the first point of contact for numerous tourists and businesspeople coming to our country. We are fully aware of the key role we play in shaping Bosnia and Herzegovina’s image as a destination, which is why we continuously invest in improving infrastructure, enhancing service quality, and expanding our flight network.
Tourism and aviation are inherently linked. Strong cooperation between all key stakeholders, supported by institutional backing, is essential for sustainable, long-term growth of both tourism and transport sectors. These industries must work not in parallel, but in true strategic partnership, to create the conditions and frameworks needed to unlock the full economic potential that connectivity brings,” stated Vikić Musić.
The Sarajevo Business Forum serves as a vital platform for exchanging ideas and strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors. By sponsoring this prestigious event, Sarajevo International Airport once again reaffirms its commitment to promoting the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and supporting both domestic and international investors.
