A Working Conference on Gender Inequality in the Labor Market Held

Yesterday in Sarajevo, a working conference on the topic of gender inequality in the labor market was organized by Info House and the Lara Foundation. Representatives of Sarajevo International Airport also attended the conference as one of eight economic entities participating in the project “Cross-Sector Partnership for Human Rights and Gender Equality in the Labor Market,” funded by the European Union.

During the conference, three panel discussions were held to analyze key challenges women face in the labor market in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special attention was given to issues of human and workers' rights violations, legal protection mechanisms, and the role of companies in ensuring a safe and inclusive working environment.

The conference provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and propose solutions to improve gender equality in the business world, further encouraging the development of a more inclusive society.

It is particularly important to highlight that in 2022, Sarajevo International Airport became the first public enterprise and the first company in Bosnia and Herzegovina to adopt a Gender Equality Plan. This represents a significant step in ensuring equal opportunities for all employees and further underscores the airport's commitment to the principles of social responsibility.
