On August 1, 2024, Sarajevo International Airport achieved a significant milestone by serving its millionth passenger. From the beginning of the year to August 1st, the airport recorded a total of 1,001,904 passengers, reaching this new million-passenger mark nearly a month and a half earlier compared to 2023.
The total number of passengers transported in the first seven months of 2024 is 992,142, representing a 36% increase compared to the same period last year.
In addition to the growth in passenger numbers, Sarajevo Airport also saw a significant increase in the number of air operations. In the first seven months of this year, there were 9,312 air operations, which is a 22% increase compared to the same period last year.
