A winter flight schedule is effective as of Sunday 31 October 2021 and it shall remain in force until 26 March 2022. Thirteen airline companies have scheduled air operations from Sarajevo International Airport towards 26 European and worldwide destinations within the framework of the same.
An extension of an incentive scheme programme set of measures, which the Airport Management prepared and provided to airline companies has shown as a good business decision, and Sarajevo is for the first time connected to the countries of the Middle East as well as to numerous Western European cities in the winter season.
Namely, an airline company Flynas will connect Sarajevo to Jeddah and Riyadh, what is particularly important for continuation of development of entire tourism sector in B&H, even after the end of the summer season. Also, an airline company Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will keep a direct air route between Sarajevo and Abu Dhabi for the winter season, and as of mid-December, Gulf Air will operate flights between Sarajevo and Bahrain two times per week.
An increase in number of flight frequencies by Wizz Air is scheduled for the end of the year, as well as an establishment of air routes towards cities that Sarajevo has not been connected to so far, i.e. Treviso/Venice, Hamburg, Billund and Malmö.
