PC Sarajevo International Airport LLC Sarajevo undertakes all necessary activities on implementation of recommended hygiene and safety epidemiological measures in order to prevent spreading of COVID-19 virus. All necessary measures are in accordance with Programme for Recovery and Working During and After COVID-19 and all workflow processes and corresponding activities at Sarajevo International Airport take place smoothly and without any delays in realization of the same.
It is important to emphasize that Programme and Plans for Recovery and Working During and After COVID-19 has been issued immediately after pandemic declaration and Coordination Committee on COVID-19 has been formed; therefore Sarajevo International Airport is completely ready for all situations caused by COVID-19.
Programme and Plans for Recovery and Working During and After COVID-19 document has been created in accordance with measures and recommendations by competent health institutions and Crisis Management Committees in B&H and international institutions like World Health Organisation (WHO), Airport Council International (ACI), International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) etc.
Every new order or recommendation by competent Crisis Management Committees is implemented at SIA without undue delay. All employees suspected to be in contact with someone COVID-19 infected are instructed to go home and they are obliged to inform their primary care physician as well as to comply with the instructions of epidemiologists. Wearing masks and keeping social distance is MANDATORY for all! Mandatory measures for all employees include disinfection of hands and footwear and body temperature checking when arriving to workplace.
Apart from measures for employees, there are measures for passengers which primarily include wearing masks, keeping physical distance, disinfection of hands and footwear when entering the Terminal building.
