The number of air traffic operations at Sarajevo airport has been constantly growing year in year out. The same pertains to the last year, 2007, when total number of air traffic operations was 6.950. Total number of passengers was 496.756 what makes 9% growth in comparison with the previous year and brings us close to a desired goal of half a million passengers a year. The airlines having scheduled operations at Sarajevo airport are BH Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Malev, Turkish Airlines, Adria Airways, Lufthansa, Croatia Airlines, Jat Airways and British Airways offering direct connections with regional and European capitals like Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljana, London, Vienna, Munich, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne, Zurich, Budapest, etc. Starting from the summer timetable Adria Airways and Lufthansa increased their air traffic operations by introducing additional morning flights to Ljubljana and Munich. We are looking forward to the summer season with increased number of air traffic operations. In the summer 2007, apart from scheduled flights, we had 50 chartered operations a month in average offering to our passengers attractive destinations like Turkey and Egypt.
