This privacy notice explains our policies and practices relating to the collection and processing of personal data that we collect in connection with the provision of the Preboarding service. Access to and use of personal data through an internal application in no way affects the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of personal data. The Preboarding service is described in detail through the local passenger handling procedure, which forms an integral part of the contract with the airline.
Which personal data do we process?
We process the personal data of registered passengers (first and last name, date, destination, baggage tag number).
Why do we process these personal data?
For the purpose of providing the Preboarding service, Sarajevo International Airport, as a handling company, through an internally developed application and an electronic barrier system, has access to passengers’ personal data and processes them to the extent necessary to provide services such as boarding pass verification, passenger check-in upon entry to the departure lounge, verification of whether a passenger needs to return for additional baggage inspection, and the fast lane service.
How long do we retain these personal data?
After 24 hours, the system automatically anonymizes the data in the database. Additionally, during data export, the passenger’s first and last name are anonymized, i.e. replaced with initials. If duplication of personal data is required, such data are deleted immediately after the completion of the Preboarding service in a manner that prevents their further use.
With whom do we share these personal data?
Sarajevo International Airport undertakes not to transfer, sell, lease, or share these data in any way and commits to using them exclusively for the purpose of providing the above-mentioned pre-boarding services.
