From May 9 to October 24, 2026, Eurowings will introduce direct flights on the Berlin – Sarajevo route. The flights will operate according to the following schedule:
The launch of this route is the result of joint cooperation between the Sarajevo International Airport, Visit Sarajevo – Tourism Board of Sarajevo Canton, and the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, who, through strategic initiatives and incentive programs, contributed to strengthening the tourism offer of Sarajevo Canton and creating a favorable environment for attracting new airlines and destinations.

Although the introduction of this route was initially planned for 2024, Eurowings has now confirmed that the flights will be launched as part of the airline’s broader expansion of operations from Berlin for the 2026 summer season.
Eurowings previously operated flights between Sarajevo and Berlin in 2013–2014, and again in 2019, before operations were suspended in January 2020. The route was scheduled to resume in March of the same year, but the relaunch was canceled due to the outbreak of the COVID‑19 pandemic.
The introduction of this route represents a significant step forward in improving Sarajevo’s connectivity with Germany and Europe. Berlin now joins the existing Eurowings routes from Sarajevo to Cologne and Stuttgart, further enhancing passenger mobility and the overall attractiveness of the destination.
