Students of Faculty of Civil Engineering of University of Sarajevo paid a voluntary visit to Sarajevo International Airport. This was an opportunity for them to get acquainted with the developmental projects which have been in progress nowadays at the airport, specifically with the works on extending the apron for parking of aircraft, whose capacity is going to be increased for 60% with the ending of this project.
Civil engineers of Infrastructure Development, Technical Support and Standardization Department of Sarajevo International Airport introduced the students with the ongoing projects at the apron and with the very process of extending the area for aircraft parking.
These kinds of visits for Sarajevo International Airport as a socially responsible company are of a great significance. This is about a promotion of opportunities which this company offers to young talented persons, about motivation to work in BH companies, and about a perception that even in B&H it is possible to find a place where young people would be able to express their talent, place their ideas but also get an opportunity to connect with other experts in aviation industry and to build valuable connections.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their appreciation to the employees of Sarajevo International Airport for the knowledge communicated and the experience gained which they would be able to use in their further education and professional training.
