Recently, in the aim of intensified sanitary inspection monitoring at Sarajevo International Airport, Federal Department for Inspection Affairs engaged six additional employees so that passengers arriving from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Iran, China and South Korea would more quickly and efficiently go through obligatory sanitary inspection, fill in a sanitary form, receive the Decision on restricted movement and isolation and eventually be placed under health surveillance.
Also, one Federal Health Sanitary Inspector is hired and works with two cantonal sanitary inspectors on intensified passengers’ monitoring at Tuzla International Airport.
Also, a thermal imaging camera is used which enables the detection of passengers with increased temperature. In cooperation with the airport staff, the area for a temporary isolation at the airport is ensured for passengers with increased temperature by the arrival of an epidemiologist and a healthcare physician.
Employees of Sarajevo International Airport and Border Police of B&H provide all necessary help and they closely work with federal inspectors in order to ensure that obligatory procedure for sanitary monitoring is enforced according to the orders by the Crisis Management Committee of the Federal Ministry of Health.
It should be pointed out that in accordance with the orders by the Crisis Management Committee of the Federal Ministry of Health from 10th March 2020, Procedures for Passengers’ Monitoring in international traffic as a response to the outbreak of a coronavirus (COVID-19) have been established and are being implemented for all passengers arriving from the areas of People’s Republic of China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, France, Germany and Spain, everything in the aim of further situation monitoring and undertaking precautionary measures for COVID-19 prevention and early detection in the case of the disease.
Besides implementing the above mentioned Procedures for Passengers’ Monitoring in international traffic, as a response to the outbreak of a new coronavirus (COVID-19), all foreign nationals entering the Federation of B&H from the above mentioned countries are instructed to restrict the area of their movement for the period of 14 days.
Besides implementing the above mentioned Procedures for Passengers’ Monitoring in international traffic as a response to the outbreak of a new coronavirus (COVID-19), a Decision on obligatory isolation for 14 days is issued to all citizens from B&H and foreign nationals who have permanent or temporary residence in B&H, and enter the Federation of B&H from the above mentioned countries.
B&H citizens and foreign nationals with permanent or temporary residence in B&H are advised not to travel to the above mentioned countries.
