Children from the day-care centre "Mašnica" visited Sarajevo International Airport
Children from a senior group in the day-care “Mašnica“ today visited Sarajevo International Airport. Employees of the Airport and BiH Border Police briefed the children on all airport activities and explained them the procedures that passengers have to obey when they travel by aircraft. Police officers demonstrated passport control and security check of passengers and baggage to little girls and boys.
The group of 54 children also visited the Professional Fire brigade and other agencies working at Sarajevo International Airport.
The children were delighted with a demonstration of an exercise with a police dog, Belgian shepherd called Uštipak (Doughnut), trained for detection of explosives.
Though the children did not depart to a distant destination but returned to the nursery for a lunch, they left the Airport happy for experiencing something new and looking forward to real flying once in the future.
