The 800.000th passenger in 2016 at Sarajevo International Airport
Today Sarajevo International Airport recorded its 800.000th passenger in 2016, what is the biggest number of passengers in a calendar year at the largest and busiest airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Gordana Aničić from Mostar, on board the Air Serbia aircraft to Belgrade is the jubilee, 800.00th passenger.
Director of Sarajevo International Airport, Mr Armin Kajmaković, presented the jubilee passenger with a gift coupon for Duty Free shop, while Air Serbia representative, Mr Emir Dervišević presented Ms Aničić with two free of charge air tickets on any air service of this Carrier.
Director Kajmaković emphasized that this is not just a significant record for Sarajevo International Airport but also one of indicators of enormous development in the current year. He added that this increase will certainly continue due to starting new air services in the beginning of the next year. The increased air traffic volume requests bigger capacities, taking into account that present capacity of the Terminal is a million passengers a year. For that reason Sarajevo International Airport is planning to start a major investment impetus in the next year.
The director thanked all employees of Sarajevo International Airport and all airlines operating from the Airport for their efforts and commitment which made this record of 800.000 passengers possible.
