Arrival of ICAO experts to BiH

From February 11-18, 2016 experts of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will be in official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Purpose of their visit is to perform surveillance in respect of civil aviation safety.
The surveillance will estimate a degree of fulfilment of the obligations that BiH accepted as a signatory to the Chicago Convention, the system of aviation safety in BiH, as well as a degree of compliance with ICAO Annex 17. In addition, special attention will be paid to national legislation regarding safety of civil aviation.
On this occasion will also be performed a supervision over implementation of exemptions in civil aviation, i.e. implementation of ICAO Annex 9 and the Document 9303 – Machine readable documents.
The supervision will cover the Directorate for civil aviation BiH, Sarajevo International Airport, IDDEEA, i.e. procedures for acceptance of requests and issue of travel documents and the Border Police. Operative aspects of civil aviation safety will be inspected at Sarajevo International Airport.
