Air traffic increase in May

The growth of air traffic operations at Sarajevo International Airport has been recorded also in May of the current year.
During the month of May at Sarajevo International Airport there were 80.143 passengers, i.e. 12% more than in the same period last year. In respect of cargo, there were 345.113 kg of commercial cargo, i.e. 10% more in comparison with the same period last year.
Positive business trend is expected to continue in the forthcoming period, too. One of the reasons for such a trend is an increased number of operations of Flydubai, the Carrier which introduces two additional flights Sarajevo – Dubai, from 18 July till 5 September, on Thursdays and Saturdays. A number of charter flights and cargo flights is also expected to grow during the summer season, like in the previous years.
