“Walk Through” at Sarajevo Airport

Today at Sarajevo International Airport was formally opened a new “Walk Through” Duty Free Shop. This is a new concept of duty free sale and the first of that kind in the region. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony the Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Mr. Enver Bijedić officially opened the shop in presence of Director of Sarajevo International Airport Mr. Ivan Veličan and Director of Regal GH Mr. Jožo Brodnik.
Sarajevo International Airport is constantly trying to keep up with marked trends and passengers’ expectations and to adjust its offer of products and services accordingly. That is why the Sarajevo Airport, in cooperation with its Supplier Regal GH, decided to introduce a new concept of duty free sale, i.e. a „Walk Through” Duty Free Shop. The purpose of such a concept is to keep passengers in the shop all the time between their passing the pasport and security check and boarding the aircraft.
„Due to extended surface of the shop and larger assortment of products we can hold on high quality of our services and enable passengers to buy both well known local brands and the best international products at reasonable prices. We firmly believe that the newly opened shop will resulty in satisfaction of users of our services”, said Director of sarajevo Airport Mr. Ivan Veličan.
The opening ceremony of the new DFS was also attended by Director of Regal GH who expressed his satisfaction over the fact that Sarajevo Airport became another link in a chain of shops based on the new „Walk Through” selling concept.
„Government of the Federation of BiH fully supports the efforts of the Sarajevo Airport’s Management aimed at keeping up with latest international trends, what will enable the passengers at Sarajevo Airport to feel like being in the biggest world’s capitals”, said the Minister of Traffic and Communications Mr. Enver Bijedić.
The new shop of the surface exceeding 300m², offers more than 6 000 products of reputable international companies but also a significant number of local brands. The new Duty Free Shop concept will ease presentation of the most prestigious brands due to tasting and promoting of new products. The offer includes a wide range of items like perfumes and cosmetics, textile and accessories, toys, souvenirs, food and drinks and tobacco products.
In a separate area intended for local products only, passengers are offered BiH drinks, coffee, confectionery products and original local curios.
