Hungarian Airline Malev stopped flying
Hungarian Airline Malev issued a statement to inform the public of its current situation. Namely, the Board of Directors of Hungarian national Carrier decided to stop all flights in order to cut operating losses. Pursuant to their decision, starting from 3 February 2012 at 06:00 hrs, Malev fleet will remain landed after 66 years of continuous operations.
Malev's Executive Director Lorant Limburger expressed regrets over the scenario they have been mostly feared about. He informed the public that the airline had to stop flights and land their aircraft due to impossibility to provide for additional financial resources.
