WINTER AT SARAJEVO AIRPORT

In winter season usual ground handling operations of aircraft, passengers and baggage are performed with more difficulty due to adverse weather conditions like snow, frost, ice, etc. To enable air traffic operations without delays it is necessary to keep both the maneuvering surfaces and aircraft always clean.
Sarajevo International Airport has all the equipment and machines to remove the snow from the maneuvering surfaces and the aircraft. It should also be stressed that the fluids used for de-icing/anti-icing of the maneuvering surfaces and aircraft are of such chemical properties that they environmentally safe and thus do not affect the environment and aircraft.
