Lost baggage
There is one office for lost and found property at Sarajevo International Airport. It is located in the terminal building, visually marked and easily visible in the customs area. Working hours of the lost-and-found office are in accordance with the official opening hours of the airport Sarajevo.
Time period to claim the baggage is restricted and it is as follows:
08:00 - 11:00 h
17:30 - 20.00 h
Info Desk in the hall of the Terminal building is for contacting the Lost and Found Office in the public area of the airport.
The Lost and Found Office at the airport Sarajevo is equipped with extremely sophisticated computer system for tracing the mishandled baggage (WORLD TRACER) and well trained and friendly personnel use this system.
Also, it is important to know that not only the baggage lost on flights is sent to the office for lost-and-found property but other items lost on the airport premises, such as security screening checkpoint in the building (not security screening by the police officers at the entrance into the gate), a restaurant, toilets, waiting areas etc., as well as the items left in the aircraft. When it is established that your lost baggage is registered as found, you can arrange with the personnel of the airport lost-and-found office to reclaim it.
